All underlined titles are clickable links to IMDB should anyone want to look up a movie. (yes i have too much time on my hands)

The Devil Rides out. Charles Grey in Priestly robes as ol' Cloven Feet watches on.

Best horror i remember from my childhood is  The devil rides out  We were allowed to watch it on tv at my cousins house one new years eve when i was 6 or 7 Most excellantly scary back then. I remember it very fondly, especially when the Angel of death rides in on his horse, but as they are in the pentagram they are protected. Hugely entertaining and scary for a 7 year old.

                                                    .................

                                             The Beast must Die

                                               ........................

Also  Night of the Demon, another all time fave remembered from very young.

As is  The Haunting  (the 1963 original natch.)

Not to forget, The beast must die  (the one where the guy hunts a werewolf from amongst his house guests)

The Legacy  (A woman from the USA comes with her boyfreind to do some work, only to find out she is an heir to a dark power. Roger Daltry famously chokes on a chicken bone in this one)

                                           ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Next, We have several Horrors of the multi episode Anthology type. Not great classics as such, but big favourites of mine, fondly remembered from way back. (most of them with Peter Cushing in them for some reason?)

Tales from the Crypt.    An annoying pedant gets hammered

                                           ............................

Dead Of Night  is the first of these, made by Ealing studios in the UK in 1945!

The halfway house  not quite a horror, although it is a sort of precuser to the film above. This takes place and was filmed during wartime. 1944

The Tales from the crypt.  The last story is my fave. A group of blind residents who stop taking being treated poorly and give out punishment to a military man with razor-sharp justice.

From Beyond the grave  (Peter Cushing as a shop owner who gets his own back on those who cheat)

Asylum  (Robert Powel interviews four inmates in a mental asylum to satisfy a requirement for employment)

The house that dripped blood  4 cases involving an empty house.

Dr Terror's House of horrors   Five strangers on a train are joined by a mysterious stranger.

Tales of terror   Vincent Price in this one, with an Edgar allen Poe segment.

The Vault of horror  Five men stuck in a lift go down to the basement. This is a fave with a niggle. The released version has a scene cut where a guy is hung up and a tap stuck in his neck to be drained of blood. The scene cut, where the drink is poored from the tap in his neck. Why ill never know as i saw it on TV a while back with the scene intact?

Last but not least two great faves The Dr Phibes films.

The Abominable Dr Phibes

Dr. Phibes Rises Again

I'd be glad to discuss any of the above films if anyone fancies a banter.
